Awards and Acknowledgements

Veterinary Medicine and Surgery has been an AAHA accredited veterinary hospital since 1997! Unlike human hospitals, animal hospitals do not require accreditation. Veterinary hospitals are evaluated on about 900 different standards of veterinary excellence and they must meet all of these standards in order to become accredited.  AAHA-accredited hospitals are recognized among the finest in the industry, and are consistently at the forefront of cutting-edge advanced veterinary medicine. AAHA standards address patient care and pain management, surgery, pharmacy, laboratory, exam facilities, medical records, cleanliness, emergency services, dental care, diagnostic imaging, anesthesiology, and continuing education.
